Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to St John’s! Here’s a little bit about me -

I grew up in Lincoln and attended Cathedral of the Risen Christ School, Pius X and Southeast High School before attending and graduating from UNL.

My husband, CW4 John Regan,  is Active Duty National Guard and just entered his 25th year of service. He returned in June from a twenty-two month deployment to Iraq.

We have four children:
Aaron graduated from Pius X in May of 2007.

Abby is a sophomore at Pius X.

Anna is a eighth grader here at St. John’s.

Adam is a fifth grader here at St. John’s.

We also have a marvelous doggie – Cocoa!

My Philosophy of Education

My life is directed by my faith in God. My philosophy is to provide a Catholic education that is academic, spiritual, emotional, and physical in a Christ-centered community.

+ I will prepare students to assume a positive role in society by respecting others, acknowledging individual differences guided by God’s unconditional love.
+ I will promote the dignity of each student and encourage the love of others.
+ I will instruct students in the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and strive to strengthen and deepen their Christian beliefs and values.
+ I will guide students to accept responsibility for their own actions with appropriate behavior.
+ I will encourage students to love and respect themselves and demonstrate a concern for the welfare of all people, discrimination will not be tolerated.
+ I will assist students to understand and accept the role of authority in their formative years in preparation for decisions and choices they will make in their own adult life.
+ I will recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children and I will cooperate with them in all aspects of their children’s development.
+ I will attempt to motivate the spirit of inquiry, the acquisition of knowledge and the formation of worthwhile goals.
+ I will evaluate students on a daily basis through observation and a variety of assessment tools. The criteria for evaluation are diverse and will assess each student’s needs and strengths.
+ I will send students from Saint John the Apostle School equipped with academic, spiritual, moral, and social values to lead a productive life.
