Surfing the Website
Welcome to the St. John's website!! I am hoping that this page will acquaint you with what's here, and were to find it. If you have any questions please let me know. Information here is in order according to the links from the Home Page. General Website questions are listed first.
Who is responsible for the website? The school and parish websites are one and the same. The school is the primary ministry and mission of our parish, and therefore an integral part of the parish website. We have divided the webmaster duties for these two main portions of the site because with such a large and vibrant parish it is difficult for one person to do both. The main body of the parish website is administered by Craig McCoy. Roberta Barreda administers the school portion of the website. You may contact the Parish Webmaster or the School Webmaster if you have any concerns or questions about the resective areas of the St. John's website.
What should I do if the website is down? There may be times when the site is down for maintenance by the server or for an unknown reason. Please let the webmaster know if you find the site down.
When is the website updated? The school portion of the website is updated every week by Friday. Any information that needs to go on the website needs to go through the school office. The deadline for information to be put on the site is TUESDAYS at 12:00 NOON. Any information after this time will be put on the NEXT WEEK'S UPDATE. If there are ERRORS, or EMERGENCY NOTICES OR CHANGES, they will be updated within 1 DAY after I am notified of such errors, notices, or changes.
How will I know what is new information? I will have an "NEWS:" notation on the homepage, and will edit that as needed, so you know where new information has been placed on the site.
I have a question about the website? If you have a question about the website only (NOT CONTENT) or are having trouble with the site, please email the webmaster. The content needs to all go through the office, so if you have something you want to put on the site, please send it to the office. I can only answer website-related questions.
